Hi, I have migrated our all exchange servers from Exchange server 2007 to 2010 (2-HUB-CAS Servers and 2-MAILBOX Servers). 2 HUB-CAS servers are Network load balanced. I found out users who are connecting to HUB-CAS02 server when they try to manually download the OAB. it would just hang. Please kindly help me on this. Dilshan

Hi, did you configure casarray between two cas servers? if so after configuring casarray did you change your existing database RPC settings to new casarray.. Get-MailboxDatabase -Server EXCH1 | Set-MailboxDatabase -RpcClientAccessServer casarray.domain.local if these all done try to configure new outlook profile and check the status. Hi, Thanks for the reply i have already configure the casarray for this and change existing databse RPC settings to new casarray name webmail.xyz.int. It is already done and as i mentioned earlier users who connecting to HUB-CAS02 only get this issue. The users which connect to HUB-CAS01 can download the OAB without any distraction. And i've created a new outlook profile, still the issue exist. Hi, I use Get-LogonStatistics -Identity shanew | fl shell command to get user logon server and try to browse URL of OAB http://webmail.xyz.lk/oab it didn't prompt the username and password it gave me an error. Dilshan

Hi Maybe the OAB is corrupted You can try these steps to view 1. create the new default OAB. 2. Map it with the databases. 3. Delete the existing OAB. Hope it works Cheers Zi Feng

Hi, As you instructed me i have delete the old OAB and create a new OAB name Default Address Book, But once i did that when i try to download the OAB it gave mw below error, Now users who logs in to both HUB CAS servers can not download the OAB, I'm in a very critical situation... :-( Dilshan

Hi For Error Code 8x8004010F, it is due to re-direction is applied on the OAB. So you can removed the re-direction from OAB and set only to DWS and did IIS RESET. Also I agree with Sukh, the Web.config file is generated, you might check SSL settings and then deleted the web.config file, at last restarted the FDS, BITS service. Cheers Zi Feng

Hi All, I was keep updating system distribution service and system attendance services, now seems like for some users they can download OAB fine but for some users they can not see the Default Offline Address Book List on the OAB download box as i mentioned above. Only Global Address List is available when try to download Global Address List it is downloading fine. But my issue is why only global Address List available in the OAB download box? Dilhan

Assign Read and Read & Execute permission to Autheticated Users group for web.config in the oab directory then restart IIS using iisreset /noforce. Now you can try to download the OAB using Outlook. Hi, Due to this issue i have shutdown the second HUB-CAS server. Though the redirection part is allowed there is no web.config file on HUB-CAS server 1 but i saw a web.config file was there in the second HUB-CAS server and it is currently down. And when i try to browse the OAB with GUID it ask me for credentials. If it is asking credential means systems can access to OAB path right? So what can be the issue? Dils

We have been having the same issues with office 2007 and 2010 hanging on different occasions. We are using exchange 2007. What I found is that because we have set BITS to trickle windows updates from WSUS (because our WSUS was across the WAN and hammering our connection on some occasions) and this can take some time for big updates, the BITS service is being over utilized or locked or something, causing the offline address book to not be able to be downloaded. if anyone can confirm with my idea, and diagnose by stopping windows updates, and then try and do a offline address book download, and see how that goes!
